Lunch and Learn Employment

Introducing Wright Hassall's Lunch and Learn sessions

Within the Wright Hassall Employment Law team, we are always looking to support clients in ensuring that their employees and HR professionals are kept up-to-date on current employment law, practices and procedures. We have for many years provided large group training sessions both at our offices but also on client’s premises to employees on matters such as conducting grievance investigations, banter and discrimination and hybrid vs flexible working. These sessions are always well received, and we have been provided with excellent feedback from participants.

As you may be aware, the number of Employment Tribunal cases is constantly increasing as employees become increasingly willing to assert their legal rights in the Employment Tribunal. Whilst we do see vexatious claims with low prospects of success, employers should still be looking to protect themselves where possible from liability.

One way to do so is to ensure that employees, particularly HR professionals, receive well-rounded, commercial and up-to-date training on employment law and HR matters. With this in mind, we wanted to make you aware of a new Lunch and Learn offering that we have recently launched after a very successful trial period.

Lunch and Learn is a much more informal and flexible way for HR professionals to receive HR updates whilst giving the opportunity to ask questions than our standard training session offering.

What's included?

From £600 plus VAT, you will receive a session of approx. 90 minutes for a small group (up to 8 employees) to receive:

  1. An interactive discussion on employment law updates. For instance, are you and/or your HR team aware of the changes brought in the Employment Relations (Flexible Working) Act 2023?
  2. An opportunity to ask questions as we discuss the topics. This gives participants the chance to discuss topics and recurring issues faced within your workplace as well as general questions on aspects of employment or HR law with two experienced solicitors from the Wright Hassall Employment Law team.
  3. A buffet lunch consisting of: a selection of sandwiches, wraps and rolls; a fresh fruit platter; potato crisps; and a selection of cake.

Discounts will be available for our YEAR members.

How to book

The session can be either run in our meeting spaces at our office in Leamington Spa or on your premises (for an additional fee to cover our travel expenses).

Having run a number of these sessions already, clients have benefited from training being delivered in a more relaxed and informal setting.

If this would be of interest to your business, then please do get in touch with any member of the Wright Hassall Employment Law team who would be happy to discuss this offering in more detail.
